The white canyon

Known as the best commercial rafting in Peru, since first descend in 1978 the river reputation has only increase and hundreds of satisfied clients appreciate our policy of safety first.  This Canyon is the longest tributary of the amazon river, and one of the deepest in the world, with pristine sand beaches, granite formations and warm environment. Thrilling rapidsbringing excitement during the day, river side camping with bonfires and clear sky views during the night. 3 days of fun, covering a distance of 32 mileswith a total descent of 1350 ft. will give you an idea of the perfect gradient. This will assure you get a lot ofadrenaline pumpingand time to recover in long pools.

Day 1

We take a four hours’ drive in a scenic route out of the beaten path. Stunning views of the mountain ranges will be seen when we reach 13,000 ft. and as we descend to 6,500 ft.  tropical weather is rolling up. We arrive to the Military bridge and after we arrange the equipment, we set off to a riverside beach only minutes away.

Day 2

We hit some class lll/IV rapids to continue with a mandatory portage, team work to slide the boats over rocks and place it back to the river. Enjoy a full day of continues rapids. Names like Purgatory, Indiana and the chute, a river side beach lunch to continue few more hours to next camping.

Day 3

Today we will run big rapids as the canyon narrows, names like toothache, you first, and last laugh will bring some excitement, always there are chances to walk if after the scouting you got intimidate and refuse to run. We finish the day with a couple of hours of less challenge rapids, a picnic lunch and preparation to return to the city of Cusco.

DAY 1
Leave Cusco 7 am on a tourist bus, which stops at main attraction along the way, offers a buffet lunch, and gives you a pleasant safe drive. Highest point and continental divide will be above 14,000 feet. This is a 9-hour journey covering approx 250 miles.We will greet you on your arrival, transfer to your hotel and brief about the next day’s activities.

DAY 2
Full day explorations start at Uros Island and then on to Taquile Island in a fast public boat, with your guide by your side. Lunch will be at a local home.
Opportunities for hikes along the Island. Return late afternoon to your hotel.

DAY 3
After a relaxing morning and shopping for some Alpaca wool sweaters, we’ll drive to Juliaca airport stopping on the way to admire stunning Inca chulpas (burial sites).

The beautiful white city of Arequipa founded by the Spaniards on August 15, 1540 is located at 7,600 feet (2,300 meters) and rests in the outskirts of 3 Volcanoes.

The white volcanic rock (sillar) that was used to build in the colonial time, gives the city a remarkable appeal. The Colca Canyon is a colorful Andean Valley with pre-Inca roots 100 miles north west of Arequipa, and is Peru’s third most visited tourist destination, is the habitat of the Andean condor on views from overlooks like Cruz del Condor. This will be one of the highlights of your trip.

Arequipa-Colca Canyon

Day 1
Airport Pick up and transfer to your hotel, upon arrival, there will be time to relax or explore a bit on your own before an afternoon city tour, visiting Yanahuara, La compañia and the convent of Santa Catalina. famous for its labyrinth of secluded rooms.

Day 2
Leaving the city behind by private van, your tour will ascend to the highland savannah,or Puna, for an amazing view of MtEl Misti and more distant snowcapped Volcanoes.On this high-altitude desert, you’ll see herds of llamas, alpacas and the endangered vicuña.From this high point, you descend into the Colca Valley with their pre-Inca terraces. Thermal bath or hikes are some of the afternoon activities.

Day 3
Today at dawn we departure to Cruz del condor. You’ll journey to a viewpoint over the canyon to watch condors as they leave their rocky outcrop on the morning warm air currents, slowly ascending over the horizon. If you like our guide will take you for a hike along the rim of the canyon for spectacular views. Drive back to Arequipa.

Day 4
Relaxing morning to complete some sightseeing, transfer out to the airport.
