Jose made my trip to Peru as fun, interesting and easy as I could have hoped. He had insider knowledge that was always helpful, reliable and provided us special access to local places plus opportunities. He was universally liked by our group and respected by his peers. Jose made my trip to South America memorable and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

My husband & I have travelled extensively, to include a one-year trip around the world. We had never travelled guided before so when we booked our luxury trip to Peru with a private guide, we didn’t really know what to expect. From the moment Jose greeted us at the airport in Cusco we knew we were in the company of someone special. As we learned over the 10 days we travelled together, his sly sense of humor, his ability to tell a story & above all, his depth of knowledge had us captivated. He is a true raconteur. No matter where we stopped, whether it was for food or the view or at a place of interest, Jose regaled us with stories & history. The length of our trip suddenly seemed too short. One other event occurred that absolutely cemented our faith in Jose. There was the threat of a general strike which would have disrupted all of our travel plans. Jose said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything” & we knew he would. Because of his genuine concern for his clients’ wellbeing, I have every confidence in referring him to anyone I know who is interested in travelling to Peru. My husband & I look forward to seeing him again.

I went to Peru through kusirumi at the end of February through the first week of March 2016. It was a trip of a life time. I was able to experience so much more of the local in Lima, Sacred Valley, Cusco and Machu Picchu then I could ever have imagined.
In Lima we stayed at his recommended place, and ate at the best restaurants of local fare. We went to the markets, beaches, and mountainside.
In Cusco, we were met by great tour guides, who took us to a beautiful hotel, and with his recommendation – one of the best meals I have ever had. They suggested we acclimate to the climate giving step by step guidance which was very helpful.
On our second day in Cusco, the company tour guides picked us up and we did a very long, exquisite descent into the Sacred Valley. Our guides on the way through the Sacred Valley were amazing, understanding the small villages, stopping at local farms and explaining the agriculture and historical importance of the region. We stopped at a local market, had lunch and experienced the gorgeous scenery.
When arriving close to Ollyantambo, they unscheduled, took us through the ancient ruins and then delivered us to a remarkable hotel. They took care of all the details with check in. Dinner reservations were set, including a family celebration another extraordinary meal and the staff were amazing.
We took a breath-taking sight-seeing train set up by kusirumi company to Macchu Piccu. The guide there was unique, in that he explained so much more than expected exuding the spirit and culture of the ancient ruins.
When we returned back to Lima we were delightfully exhausted. I know I experienced more of Peru in a week than another tourist due the company knowledge, network, and LOVE of Peru. I feel like they were family. I would not only suggest, I will go back and visit AMAZING Peru with ONLY Kusirumi.

Wow. I recently returned from a week long trip to Peru through Kusirumi. From the hotel accommodations to the transportation arrangements, all the details were planned to perfection! I was able to enjoy my vacation without having to worry about the usual travel logistics. We had a tour guide from Cusco through the Sacred Valley, and at Machu Picchu. The guides were highly knowledgeable, friendly and extremely accommodating. The gorgeous and stunning beauty of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu was unforgettable. It was a trip that created memories to last a lifetime. I will be using Kusirumi for my next trip to Peru without hesitation.
